My name is Aisha Nalusiba, a graduate registered nurse with a master’s degree in public health from Uppsala University. Over the years I have practiced in various health care units including geriatrics, surgery, medicine, and palliative care nursing.
I have also featured as primary nurse specializing in type 2 diabetes care and as a clinical research nurse. My passion is preventative health, which is why I created Nurseaisha, a digital educational platform focusing on women’s health.
The aim is preventative health education for women targeting lifestyle diseases. The goal is to increase awareness about lifestyle diseases among women.
It is a challenging but extremely rewarding career path. As a nurse, I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others every day. I work closely with patients and their families, providing compassionate care and support during some of the most difficult times in their lives.
Nursing is a dynamic and constantly evolving field, and as a nurse I have the opportunity to learn and grow throughout my career. I am exposed to a wide range of medical conditions and have the chance to work in different healthcare settings and with diverse patient populations.
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a nurse for me is the sense of fulfilment that comes from helping others. Whether I am providing comfort to a patient in pain or simply offering a listening ear, I make a difference in the lives of those I care for. Of course, being a nurse also comes with its share of challenges for me.
Nurses often work long and irregular hours, and the work can be physically and emotionally demanding. However, the sense of purpose and fulfillment that comes with being a nurse makes these challenges worth it for me.
